Jernhusen acquires Centralhuset in Gothenburg

The Swedish government owned property company Jernhusen acquires Centralhuset, a property adjacent to the Central Station in Gothenburg. Jernhusen already owns the station and will coordinate the management and development of the two properties, which already has mutual pedestrian and retail areas. Through the acquisition Jernhusen will also be better positioned to influence the overall development of the surrounding area. The property contains 10,600 sqm office and retail areas.

Jernhusen owns and develops railway stations and surrounding areas all over Sweden and Gothenburg Central Station is one of the more important ones, with further development around the corner by the coming new rail way line Västlänken.

Savills has been adviser to Jernhusen throughout the acquisition. Closing of the transaction will occur in November this year.
